On These Shoulders Research Collaborative
What do we do?
The On These Shoulders Research Collaborative, led by Dr. Barb Hamilton-Hinch, is a centre dedicated to producing evidence-based research to address racial inequities and empower communities who have been marginalized. Our team is multidisciplinary, including members from faculties of medicine, nursing, health administration, health promotion, law, child and youth studies, education, social work, dentistry, and more. We are based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in the School of Health and Human Performance at Dalhousie University, but collaborate with other groups and institutions around the globe.
Publications
Our team members have been working in research, education, nursing, and health promotion for decades! Our past manuscripts cover a broad range of topics such as access to healthcare, opportunity gaps in education, health inequity, Black leadership, and more.
